Raielene Langdon
I’m Raielene Langdon, owner, designer, and talent behind Blue Pixel Design. I grew up just outside of Vancouver, in beautiful British Columbia. My grandmother was an artist (mainly a painter), and my mother is an artist (and was also an art teacher), so I was raised painting, and drawing, and making things with my hands. I learned early on to see things from a creative perspective.
In school, I loved art class, and had works in shows and galleries, but never considered art something I could do as a career. I was in my 3rd year at University when it finally dawned on me that my Fine Arts minor suited me so much more than my major, and I decided to make a change. I was accepted as one of only 20 students into a Graphic Design Program and haven’t looked back!
When I’m not at my desk, you can find me hiking, shooting photographs, having fun with friends, or spending time with family.
I love to travel and would spend half my year on the road if I could afford it, but also love where I live with the ocean, the forests, and the mountains so nearby. Beautiful British Columbia is home for me.
Blue Pixel Design
Blue Pixel Design was born out of what I love to do.
After school, instead of heading downtown to the big design studios, I started a family. For a few years, my creative outlet was in paintings for baby’s room, t-shirt designs for my boys, and websites to show off all the photos I was taking of them. Like before, one day it occurred to me that I could be doing what I love as a business, and Blue Pixel Design was born! I enrolled in courses at BCIT for web design, and had paying clients even before I’d graduated!
My goal has been, and will always be, to delight my clients.
I love taking someone else’s vision and passion for their company and creating something original and unique that truly represents them professionally to the world.
